KVA Organogram

General Assembly: The General Assembly is the highest organ of the association in terms of legislation and decision making, which is either a properly constituted Annual General Meeting, or a Special General Meeting.

The Council: The Council, is the arbitrator and the policy making body. It comprises of the Executive Committee of KVA and representatives from the KVA branches. The council is the body responsible of setting guidelines among others on application fees, subscriptions, discipline of KVA members and presenting these to the general assembly for adoption.

KVA executive committee: The executive committee of KVA, is the administrative committee of the association. Ordinary members elect this committee through secret ballot at the Annual General Meeting. The elected officials comprise of the chairman, the junior vice chairman, honorary secretary, honorary treasurer and three other committee members.

The secretariat: The secretariat is the collecting, storing and dispatching office for all KVA affairs. The secretariat is manned by employees of KVA who are accountable to the executive committee. The day to day running of the secretariat is the responsibility of the honorary secretary. The executive committee is responsible for establishing and running the secretariat and is responsible for personnel and financial decisions concerning the secretariat and accountable for their decisions to the membership.
