Technical Working Groups

Veterinary Education and Member Welfare

We are committed to advancing the knowledge, skills, and wellbeing of veterinary professionals. Through continuous professional development, training programs, mentorship, and networking opportunities, we empower our members to stay at the forefront of animal health care.

Our support also extends to member welfare—ensuring that veterinarians have access to the resources, representation, and recognition they need to thrive in their profession and serve society effectively.

Advocacy and Policy

We actively engage in policy dialogue to shape a strong, inclusive, and responsive animal health system in Kenya. Through strategic advocacy, we represent the voice of veterinary professionals in national and regional forums, working to influence legislation, regulations, and public health policies.

Our goal is to ensure that veterinary concerns are well represented in decision-making processes—promoting animal welfare, public health, and the growth of the veterinary profession.

Welfare and Health of Animals

We are dedicated to promoting the health, safety, and humane treatment of all animals—pets, livestock, and wildlife. Our work focuses on disease prevention, proper animal husbandry, and creating awareness about animal welfare standards.

Through collaboration with stakeholders, we advocate for responsible ownership, ethical practices, and policies that protect animals and promote their wellbeing across all environments.

Community Outreach and Empowerment

We believe that strong communities are key to sustainable animal and public health. Through our outreach programs, we educate and empower farmers, pet owners, and the general public with knowledge and services that improve animal care and health practices.

By building trust and partnerships at the grassroots level, we promote responsible animal ownership, disease prevention, and livelihood improvement—creating lasting impact within communities across Kenya.
